13/6/2015 訪沙頭角禁區及吉澳行山+海鮮午膳(brunch)
Venturing Closed Area of Sha Tau Kok+Hiking at NE Geo Park: Crooked Island
In view of the no. of participants, I have changed our route for the day. At present, we will take the bus to Sha Tau Kok closed area with permits (I have to collect them from the villager who helped us apply with a surcharge beforehand). Then we will share a speedboat to Crooked Island as the schedule for ferry is either too early or too late. There, we'll have seafood meal for brunch. Afterwards, we'll go uphill along distinct trails, plus visiting the bay of O Pui Tong on foot. May venture a few more places if there's time left.
We'll take the ferry for the return trip to Sha Tau Kok where we'll pop around the place. It's a rare chance 'cos a permit is needed to enter that area. We may go near Sino-British Street but not crossing to the PRC area, for that needs another permit from China.
If you prefer to take a leisure walk on your own, you may visit the Geo-ctr, Tin Hau Temple, local dried seafood and snack stalls.
There may be lucky draw during lunch. I will give some introduction of the area, such as geo and hiking info.
HKD180/head (only include charges for permit application, speedboat to Crooked Island, brunch and lucky draw. NOT including the return trip on ferry, bus fares or any other expenses incurred) to be transferred to my bank a/c first. Money in excess may be spent for the lucky draw prizes or retain for future trips.
N.B. Once the villager applies the permit for you , it means that s/he has to guarantee that you behave within the Closed Area. So please observe the HK Law, otherwise, the villager may get into trouble because of you.
Please email me or Whats App me, then I will tell you payment details and other terms+conditions, especially about the way to submit your HKID copy for the villager to apply yr permit (she doesn't have a printer, so we may only send her faxes or via snail mail). The copies must reach her 3 weeks in advance to allow enough time for her to handle them. Once the transfer is done, pls inform me with a jpg file of the pay-in slip.
Please state clearly whether you will fax or post your HKID copy!
*I have also posted on other websites in order to invite enough participants.
